Here’s what happens when your vehicle comes in for a Comprehensive Diagnostic Service at GTA Transmission:

First, we gather your vehicle’s information and begin a Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI). Everything we see and do is documented from the start—with photos, notes, and clear explanations—in a format you can easily view and keep.

Then, one of our licensed transmission technicians takes the vehicle for a test drive, if possible and safe. This lets them feel how it behaves in real-world conditions—paired with a professional-grade scan tool that reads your vehicle’s onboard systems. We collect specific codes that point us to how your transmission is performing and where issues may be coming from.

We also check the transmission fluid, looking at colour, smell and signs of contamination, and we search for recalls or manufacturer bulletins that may relate to your concern.

Once everything is done, we’ll walk you through our findings in plain language, explain what’s going on and outline any recommended repairs.

If you decide to do the repair with us, we’ll credit the cost of the inspection toward the repair. If you don’t move ahead, that’s okay too—you still leave with a complete digital report, photos and all, sent directly to your email, text or both.

All our communication, from approval to updates, will be sent the same way, so you always know exactly what’s going on with your vehicle.
